Mythos XTR-50 are the Thinnest Loudspeakers in the world. Even is they are only 1.5 inches (38mm) deep, they manage to deliver a rich quality sound. Their design allows you to install them on the wall next to your high-resolution TV (ultra thin of course).
Definitive Technology the producer of this beautiful masterpiece says that its new ultra-thin speakers are made using aircraft grade aluminum , this giving them impresive durability.
The XTR-50’s extraordinary performance is Definitive’s patent-pending XTDD technology anodized Aluminum dome driver. By using state-of-the-art computer modeling and decades of speaker design experience, the XTDD driver has the kind of dynamic punch, wide frequency range and broad dispersion that flat vibrating membrane panel-type speakers simply cannot match.
The tweeter is the same one Definitive Technology uses in their Mythos ST and STS SuperTower speakers, but the midbass driver is not. The XTR-50 has two newly developed XTDD dynamic drivers, which have convex cones and low-profile surrounds.
The loudspeakers are expected to appear at CEDIA Expo next week, and will cost about $ 3,494.00 for a complete surround kit. Bear in mind that they are sold per piece
